The decision comes after months of renovation work, which restored the venue to meet international standards. The Black Stars, Ghana’s national team, had previously lost their hosting rights but are now set to return to the stadium for key matches in the qualifiers.
The approval follows a review of the stadium’s facilities and safety protocols, ensuring it can accommodate high-level international competition. Two Ghanaian clubs, Medeama SC and Nations FC, have received solidarity payments from CAF after early exits, highlighting the financial impact on domestic football.
