Governor of Nyandarua, Badilisha, has officially switched allegiance from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), ahead of the 2027 general elections. The move was formally announced on Wednesday, July 29, during a meeting with DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua and Senator John Methu, who was appointed Secretary General (eastleighvoice.co.ke).
This defection marks a significant shift in political dynamics within Laikipia, as Gachagua intensifies efforts to consolidate support among local leaders.
