The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun displaying the academic credentials and personal details of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 elections. INEC stated that the exercise is in compliance with Section 29(3) of the Electoral Act, 2026, which requires the commission to publish candidates’ particulars within 21 days of receiving them. The display of Tinubu and Shettima’s credentials follows similar actions taken for other candidates, including Atiku and Obi, as part of the broader preparation for the 2027 general election.
